This year's Summer School on Deep Learning at DTU attracted more than 60 participants, including lecturers, researchers, and postgraduate students from domestic and international universities such as in the United States, Romania, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quy Muoi said: “I am very honored and delighted to welcome you all to the Summer School on Deep Learning. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to express my deep gratitude to DTU for their support to make this event possible. On this occasion, I would also like to extend my congratulations to DTU for their 30th anniversary.
Ladies and gentlemen, the goal of this Summer School is to broaden our vision in training and develop high-quality human resources, which aligns with the national program of Mathematics development from 2021 to 2031. Deep Learning, a subset of Machine Learning, is often the main topic of interest in transformation talks, is widely applied across many industries and writing, and contributes to progress and innovation. The relationship between Mathematics and Deep Learning is the foundation of this field. Mathematics provides a framework while models offer new perspectives and methodology that can enhance our understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to organizing this event and express my gratitude to all the participants. Your presence reflects our commitment to advancing knowledge. Let’s take this opportunity to learn, collaborate, and inspire each other.”
Prof. Dr. Vincent Lefieux’s lecture provides deeper insights into the perspectives
and applications of Big Data, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistical Learning
Prof. Dr. Vincent Lefieux’s lecture provided participants with a comprehensive overview of Big Data, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistical Learning. The lecture focused mainly on Dense Neural Networks (DNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). Through real-world data and examples, attendees also had the chance to explore the intersection between Mathematics and Deep Learning.
The Deep Learning Summer School is a platform to exchange ideas, learn, and develop skills,
thereby contributing to the development of Information Technology and the latest trends in Computer Science.
Aiming to guide and equip attendees with the essential knowledge and skills to contribute to this dynamic and ever-evolving field, Prof. Dr. Vincent Lefieux provided deeper insights into perspectives and applications of Big Data, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Statistical Learning.
The Deep Learning Summer School offered participants an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn, and develop skills, thereby contributing to the development of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and the latest trends in Computer Science.
Dr. Anand Nayyar, Director of the IoT Lab at DTU’s School of Computer Science, said: “The Deep Learning Summer School is organized to provide in-depth knowledge and give an update on the latest trends in Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics has collaborated with DTU to host the Summer School on Deep Learning, and we were delighted to welcome more than 60 outstanding students, not only from different regions of the country but also from many other parts of the world.”
