On May 10, 2024, the DTU School of Computer Science held the Scientific Research Student Conference. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Gia Nhu, Rector of the School of Computer Science; Dr. Dang Viet Hung, Vice Chairman of the Science Council; Dr. Le Thanh Long, Head of the Computer Science Faculty; faculty members and students from the DTU School of Computer Science attended.
Students presented their research topics at the conference
This annual event is held to summarize the scientific research activities of the students for the academic year 2023-2024, providing students with great opportunity to showcase their research achievements and serves as a forum for academic exchange, experience sharing, and fostering a passion for scientific research among the students.
The conference was divided into two sub-committees for reporting. Each report topic was new, creative, and highly distinctive. It was evident that the students of the School of Computer Science had prepared diligently and put in significant effort during their scientific research process.

At this conference, the Organizing Committee selected 11 highly evaluated topics to be presented in two sub-committees. Some of the notable topics included:
- Research on the Laravel and Vue Frameworks and the Application to Build the DTUer Social Network
- Pet Store Website
- Development of a Sales and Foreign Goods Ordering Website Using AI
The organizing committee awarded prizes and certificates to the top projects as follows:
- A First prize to “Development of an Automation Platform for Optimizing Digital Transformation - AutomationPro-X” by Hoang Van Quang, Nguyen Duc Viet, Ngo Tho Hoai Yen, Nguyen Thanh Phuc, Tran Duc Hoang.
- Two Second prizes to “Development of a Game Control Program Using Body Movements” by Le Anh Tien, Le Huu Thong, Nguyen Tan Quoc and Nguyen Quang Huy and “Applying Blockchain Technology to Solve Data Integrity Problems in Supply Chain Management by Lê Minh Tuan, Tran Nguyen Duy Khanh, Doan Vo Van Trong, Nguyen Quang Huy, Ho Thi Thanh Thanh
- Two Third prizes to “Using Laravel Combined with ReactJS to Develop a Food Sharing Website with Integrated PayPal Donations” by Vo Van Binh and “ Research and Application of Deep Learning Techniques for Fire Detection” by Hoang Trung Kien and Tran Ngoc Sang.
- Two Consolation prizes to “Developing an Automatic Face Image Coloring Tool Using GAN-Unet Model” by Nguyen Dinh Thanh San, Nguyen Huynh Chi Khang, Nguyen Phan Duc Thanh and Nguyen Phuoc Trinh and “DTU Admissions Website with Chatbot Support” by Do Manh Truong, Cao Trong Nghia, Ha Vo Gia Kinh, Nguyen Cong Duy and Thai Tien Minh Nhat
