On July 1st, the Closing Ceremony of the Official Survey for Education Institution External Evaluation at DTU took place. The ceremony was attended by Assoc.Prof. Dr Nguyen Phuong Nga, Director of the Center for Education Accreditation of the Association of Vietnam Universities & Colleges; Assoc.Prof. Dr Tran Thi Ha, former Director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education & Training (MoET), Expert at the State Council for Professorship Office, and Chairwoman of the External Evaluation delegation; experts of the External Evaluation delegation; Hero of Labor and Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co, Chairman of the DTU Boards of Trustees and of Provosts; leaders of different centers of the university; and a great many of the university’s staff and lecturers.

The official survey for External Evaluation at DTU is implemented in accordance with the regulations of the MoET. During 6 days of work, the External Evaluation Team carried out many activities including:
- examining official DTU documents,
- interviewing target groups and collecting feedback,
- observing and experiencing,
- visiting facilities for teaching and research at DTU.
Representatives of DTU and the External Evaluation Team of the Education Accreditation Center signed the minutes of completion of the external assessment for quality accreditation
The External Evaluation team directly interviewed 212 people, including alumni, students, union and youth support staff, and lecturers. Unlike the first survey in 2016, which was based on only 10 standards, this second survey was based on 25 criteria to assess the quality of education at DTU. In each specific criterion, the External Evaluation team pointed out strengths and made recommendations for DTU to have solutions and continue to improve to better serve the quality of education.
At the end of the Closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nga; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Ha and Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost, signed the Minutes of completion of the official survey. The External Evaluation Team will complete the evaluation report which will be approved by the Quality Accreditation Council of the Ministry of Education and Training before they recognize the results of external evaluation for DTU.
