Duy Tan University officially launched an essay writing contest, entitled: “The Youth with Duy Tan Aspiration” in order to evoke the Duy Tan aspiration and to enhance the power and responsibility of young people to support the sovereignty and development of Vietnam. The event is a part of a series of activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of our founding.

The contest is an opportunity for anyone who wants to denote innovative ideas for reforming our country through essay writing. The essays should not be critical and cannot be published in the press, because of copyright infringement laws. Each participant can submit more than one essay to organizers, and the winning essay will be published in the DTU Science magazine and in “Books of DTU”.
Registration is from June 5th to October 5th 2014. Essays should be addressed to “The Youth with Duy Tan Aspiration” contest, Mr. Huynh Phuoc, Vice-Director of the DTU Center for Social Economic Research, 3 Quang Trung, Danang, or sent to

Currently, pacifists nationwide and overseas are denouncing the Chinese for setting up the oil drilling rig HD 981 near Vietnam’s islands and for performing illegal acts against Vietnamese fishermen. The contest will foster the responsibility of our younger generations to support the sovereignty and development of Vietnam.
