On the evening of 9th January 2011, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences held a music festival to commemorate the 61st Anniversary of the first Vietnamese Students’ Day, held on the 9th of January 1950, and to welcome in 2011.
A performance by students of the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty
There were two main parts to the show. The first was a video musical contest, when classes showed their video clips on various topics. Most of the clips shared the common theme of student life and social activities. The judge awarded first prize to class K15 VQH for their impressive presentation.
The second part consisted of singing, dancing and plays. The best performance was a play about the “Kitchen God” by students from the K14VQH class, which everyone enjoyed greatly.
Also in the show, the Youth Union Committee of the Humanities and Social Sciences faculty awarded prizes to students with the best yearly achievements.
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was established in 2007 with three specialties, namely: Literature, International Relations, and Vietnamese Studies. In 2011, the faculty will offer a new specialty entitled The Culture of Tourism.
