The one-week charity program started on the June 24th in the Van Duong hamlet of Hoa Lien commune, in the Hoa Vang district of Danang. It was based on the theme “The Youth of DTU Help to Build a New Countryside”. When their project is completed, the DTU students will have built a 200 meter concrete road, taught local children English and Informatics, repaired electronic equipment and presented 15 gifts to the best, most needy local students. The DTU charity team will also organize music shows, with the community taking part.
Le Ba Thien, of DT K17XDD said: “All the members of our team are determined to complete their mission to renovate the hamlet. I was delighted to motivate the needy students there and make their lives happier.”
Many of the other charitable activities undertaken by DTU students, including the Blood Drive, the Bicycle Parade for the Environment, the Flood Victim support program have also proved to be very effective so far.
