Wonderful shapes by creative people…

 

In 2016, the “Beach Sand Sculpture” contest was held for the first time, and the scale of the contest increased in subsequent years, with ever higher participation numbers. This year is the fifth time the contest is held. It provides a healthy and educational playground for those who like the sea and allows DTU students to practice their skills. Visitors to the Danang seaside will be able to watch and photograph the wonderful architectural works realized by students of the DTU Faculty of Architecture & Applied Arts or by the many other teams consisting of DTU students in other majors, students of other universities in Danang, foreigners, or locals who like the sea and architectural creations.

 

Previous years’ “Beach Sand Sculpture” contests

 

Besides sand sculptures, the contest offers other beach games: human wheel race, sack race, and back-to-back balloon. Teams may count from seven to ten people and will be allotted a private workspace. To ensure a maximal score, teams must participate in all events in the contest:

The jury will award the following sand sculpture team prizes:

• one first prize: certificate and 5 million VND in prize money,
• two second prizes: certificate and 3 million VND in prize money each,
• two third prizes: certificate and 2 million VND in prize money each,
• five consolation prizes: certificate and 1 million VND in prize money each.

There will be separate prizes for the small games: one first prize of 500 thousand VND, one second prize of 300 thousand VND, and one third prize of 200 thousand VND.
