“This year’s competition brings together students from many disciplines and cohorts,” Mr Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Danang Innovation Startup Support Center, said at the program. “I hope you’ll see this as not just a competition, but also as an opportunity to challenge yourselves, find teammates, get feedback, and turn a problem into a valuable solution. You don’t have to be a technology student to become an entrepreneur. Every field of study has problems that need to be solved and opportunities for innovation. For an idea to grow, students need more than a good idea. You need experts, businesses, markets, and the right resources. That’s precisely the role of Danang’s innovation & startup ecosystem. At the Danang Innovation Startup Support Center, we hope to continue working alongside DTU and support its students, connecting promising ideas and projects with experts, businesses, investors, and domestic and international resources.”

DTU STARTUP 2026 is more than a competition; it is a journey of accompanying students as they transform creative ideas into practical value. By participating in the competition, students receive hands-on training, interact and connect with experienced entrepreneurs and experts, and receive in-depth mentorship for their projects as they progressively refine their ideas. The event also provides an environment where students can develop their entrepreneurial mindset and hone their skills in presenting, persuading, and defending their projects before the jury, which will give them greater confidence as they work to turn their ideas into reality.

At DTU STARTUP 2026, projects across a wide range of fields attract significant interest: in AI & digital transformation, medicine & healthcare, education, tourism, services, business, finance, e-commerce, green technology, high-tech agriculture, smart cities, smart manufacturing, etc.

I believe entrepreneurship does not begin with a good idea alone,” said Hero of Labor and Meritorious Teacher Le Cong Co, DTU Chairman. “More importantly, that idea must be turned into action and create tangible value. No matter how innovative your idea, if it can’t be turned into a product, project, or solution that addresses a real-world problem, it’ll be difficult to create value and get anywhere. I therefore hope that, through this competition, students won’t stop at proposing new ideas, but, more importantly, that they’ll learn how to realize those ideas and create applicable products and projects. What I hope to see from this competition are products, projects, or solutions that bear the distinctive mark of DTU’s lecturers and students, results that are seriously invested in, thoroughly worked out, and genuinely create value. If we can accomplish that, even with just one product, that’d be a highly valuable achievement for the competition.”
