DTU Students of IT Impress in Digital Space
Outstanding achievements by DTU students in creative technology projects, major awards in cybersecurity and AI robotics, and recognition in the Digital Talent Development Program… All this not only demonstrates the exceptional capabilities of DTU students but is also testament to a high-quality, dynamic, and creative learning environment - one that is opening up opportunities for growth and breakthroughs for class after class of DTU students.
Samsung and Fore partner with DTU to train future IT talent
To meet the demands of the Digital Age, three Samsung courses:
• Internet of Things (IoT),
• Artificial Intelligence (AI), and
• Big Data,
along with a basic skills course in Coding & Programming, provide DTU students with valuable opportunities to discover new knowledge, develop real-world network skills, and lead technological development.

Samsung signed an agreement with DTU to sponsors a computer lab for IT training
The effectiveness of the collaboration with DTU for the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) project, along with many professional exchange activities, led Samsung Vietnam to sponsor the university with a lab of thirty high-configuration computers, one laptop, and one smart TV. This lab was installed at DTU in 2023 to support training. Many DTU students who performed well in SIC courses and were selected for internships at the Samsung Research & Development Center in Hanoi have been officially hired by Samsung R&D.
In addition, a large number of students participating in the “Blue Rock” project, which has been running at DTU for several years, have been recruited by the companies Fore and LLL (Japan) to work in Vietnam with salaries ranging from $1,200 to $2,200 per month. Alongside gaining a foundation of up-to-date knowledge in cybersecurity, these DTU students earned from $400 to $800 per month already when still studying. Based on later individual performance, Fore makes a selection and offers salaries at expert level.
The Japanese company Fore has also sponsored a cybersecurity lab at DTU to support lecturers and students in their research and teaching in cybersecurity. The lab is equipped with twenty high-configuration laptops, specialized software, a dedicated server, and various other networking devices.

Numerous cybersecurity events are regularly held at DTU
Cybersecurity events, such as CyberCon Asia 2025 and CyberFest 2025, are consistently hosted at DTU. Hundreds of businesses, leaders, and speakers provide new perspectives on ensuring cybersecurity in these times where AI is rapidly developing - bringing many opportunities but also a load of challenges.
Maintaining excellence in the digital space with awards in cybersecurity and AI robotics
For three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025), DTU students won first prizes at the Innovation Tech Challenge, part of the Samsung Innovation Campus, a program organized by Samsung Vietnam.
DTU was also among the ten most outstanding universities in Vietnam for its effective implementation of the 2025 Digital Talent Development Program. This initiative, jointly implemented by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and Google, aims to enhance the quality of the workforce and develop digital talent for Vietnam. Vice Dean of the DTU International School (IS) Dr Nguyen Duc Man received the title of outstanding coordinator, while Nguyen Dinh Tuan, a student of CMU-standard Software Engineering at the IS, was among the ten most outstanding students nationwide of the program.

Digital Talent Development Program
In 2024, DTU’s AI robotics teams earned a special, a first, and a second prize, and the Creative Idea award at the national ROBOG 2024 competition on September 22. A highlight of the competition was that all teams used the same Yanshee humanoid robot design and the UGOT kit. Thanks to their outstanding capabilities, DTU students introduced unique innovations in AI programming, enabling their robots to overcome all challenges and claim the top awards.
Also in 2024, DTU students won a first prize in the category of open-source software at the 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad. This major prize further affirms the competence and spirit of DTU students in large-scale competitions - and especially in IT, one of the university’s key strengths and flagship fields.

DTU students of IT make their mark with first prizes at many major competitions
Besides AI robotics, DTU students of Cybersecurity are proud with their prestigious awards:
• first place in international attack-defense ranking at Iran Tech Olympics CTF 2025,
• second prize at ASEAN Cyber Shield 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia,
• second prize at the 2023 ASEAN Student Information Security contest,
• second prize at the 2022 ARAB Security Cyber Wargames, Egypt,
• third prize at the 2022 Insomnihack CTF finals, Switzerland.

The Open Lab model at DTU provides maximum support for students to get practice in cybersecurity
DTU students can get experience in a modern environment for learning and exploring the world of cybersecurity right on campus through two specialized Open Lab network practice facilities:
• Information Warfare Practice Room, and
• Network Engineering Practice Room.
These are fully equipped with professional networking devices such as servers, routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and load-balancing devices (various types from various manufacturers including Cisco, Fortinet, and Drytech). These provide optimal conditions for DTU students to study and compete in information security contests nationally and internationally.
Colorful game design world with impressive awards
Demonstrating outstanding game design capabilities, Hoi An Kien Su (Hoi An VR), developed by the CLICK Studio team at DTU, made a strong impression and was selected one of the five best game projects (no ranking order) at GameHub 2025. More than just an entertainment game, Hoi An Kien Su is educational and cultural, and it gives an introduction to one of Vietnam’s World Heritage sites in a vivid, modern, and highly accessible way.

The Hoi An Kien Su project involved twenty team members: 2D and 3D artists, environment and effects designers, and programmers from DTU. Within DTU’s learning environment for game design with a great many dedicated staff and lecturers, students gain many opportunities to learn and innovate, which enables them to conquer major competitions:
- first and second prize at the 2024 national Talent Search for Graphic Design & Game Programming,
- top five at the exhibition Towards the Future 2024, and entry in the International Design Forum in Taiwan (China),
- Innovative Technology Application award at the national conference on Applied Arts Education in the Context of Cultural Industry Development in 2024.
