On February 21st, DTU hosted a special talk show entitled “Conquering the Sharks” to encourage entrepreneurship in students. The event featured distinguished guest speakers, including Ms. Ton Nu Xuan Quyen, Chairwoman of BlueSaigon, and the renowned businessman Ton Thanh Nghia, CEO of Ton Van Group. This event provided students with valuable insights into entrepreneurship & great networking opportunities, making it a must-attend for them.

During the event, DTU launched the DTU Student Startup Club, marking a significant step in the university's commitment to fostering innovation and supporting students in realizing their business dreams.

At the “Conquering the Sharks” talk show, Ms Ton Nu Xuan Quyen, founder of the BlueSaigon brand, startup expert, and a successful Shark Tank Vietnam fundraiser, shared valuable insights on building a business from the ground up. With her engaging and dynamic storytelling style, she provided a realistic perspective on the entrepreneurial journey.

Also, the talk show provided practical knowledge on various aspects of entrepreneurship, including building a strong team, effective human resource management, leveraging AI technology, staying updated on market trends, and exploring startup opportunities in the digital age.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Duy Khoi, Deputy Head of DTU Business Cooperation & Entrepreneurship (in charge of Entrepreneurship), emphasized the crucial role of the Student Startup Club in supporting students in turning their business ideas into reality, accessing capital and expanding network.
Prior to this, DTU has consistently promoted entrepreneurship by integrating courses such as Business Startup and Career Orientation into the curriculum, investing in research labs, and building a strong ecosystem of successful alumni entrepreneurs. Building on this strong entrepreneurial spirit, the Student Startup Club will continue to host workshops, startup competitions, and networking events, providing students with opportunities to meet investors and experts while equipping them with essential knowledge and skills for their startup journey and future career development.
