Dominating Competitions
In 2024, DTU students made their mark in multiple business and management competitions, including:
Champions of the SAP ERPsim Student Competition 2024: The DongRy Corporation team from DTU won the ERPsim category by successfully testing and applying SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to manage business resources and operations. They secured a spot in the 2025 Asia-Pacific SAP ERPsim round.
Runner-up at the Vietnam Young Logistics Talent 2024 Competition: The Logisayhi team from DTU developed the "E-Waste Collection and Supply Chain Solution via the HiE Platform in Da Nang." This model optimizes the e-waste collection process and contributes to environmental sustainability in line with COP29 (United Nations) climate finance commitments.
DTU students have also won numerous awards for research ideas and startup projects during their university years, including:
- Second prize in the 2023 Startup Incubator Program for the "Co Tu Ethnic Community Tourism" project.
- Women in Business Award at Go Green in the City 2018 in Atlanta, USA – Doan Thi Thu Ha. She also secured:
o Third place at the 2020 National Startup Competition.
o Second place at the 2019 Da Nang Innovation and Startup Competition.
o Second place at the 2019 "Seeding Your Idea" Tech Startup Competition, hosted by Vintech City and BSSC.
- Phan Van Thinh achieved:
o Third place at the 2020 National Startup Competition.
o "Best First-Time Team" award at the 2020 FDI Moot.
o Second place at the 2019 Da Nang Innovation and Startup Day.
- International student Trish Maguta from Zimbabwe won:
o Third place at the 2018 CDIO Academy Competition.
o A consolation prize at the 2019 STR Asia Pacific Student Market Study Competition.
- International student Frances Summer Dale V. Dy from the Philippines won the Grand Prize at the 2021 Global Leadership Competition in Vietnam, focusing on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
Hosting the SAP Conference for the First Time
Recognized for its contributions to high-quality business and management education, DTU was selected to host the 2024 Asia-Pacific & Japan (APJ) SAP Conference. Co-organized by SAP, the APJC Academic Council, the ACC Melbourne Academic Competency Center, and DTU, this event brought together top experts in SAP ERP, the world’s leading enterprise management software.

More than 150 professors, PhDs, experts, and university lecturers from leading global institutions attended, including: University of Melbourne, Victoria, and Sydney (Australia),Tsinghua University (China), University of Southern California (USA), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Singapore Management University (SMU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Myongji University (South Korea), Indian Institute of Management (India), Santo Tomas University (Philippines), University of Malaya (Malaysia), UNSW Business School, (Singapore), DTU (Vietnam).
The conference explored topics such as: AI innovations and solutions in SAP, Integrating Signavio with S/4HANA for business process education, AI’s impact on audit services, The SkiPP curriculum: A university-industry bridge to enhance SAP proficiency for students.
Over the years, DTU has introduced SAP software into training across a wide range of professions, providing rare learning opportunities for students, including the economics - management sector including business administration, logistics and supply chain management, marketing, finance - banking.

Choosing to study Business, Management, or Service-related majors at DTU ensures students receive high-quality education at a university that pioneers international collaborations to bring the best programs to its students. The expertise and teaching capabilities of DTU faculty have been honed over the years through its partnership with Pennsylvania State University (PSU/PennState), solidifying the university’s reputation for excellence.
Upon graduation, students receive 19 -21 internationally recognized course completion certificates from PennState. DTU also emphasizes Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PBL), equipping students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to succeed in the global workforce.
