On June 18, 2024, at DTU, Sebang Group awarded 10 scholarships to faculty members and 33 scholarships to students of the DTU Tourism School, totaling up to 150 million Vietnamese dong. This marks the second consecutive year Sebang Group has granted these scholarships to faculty and students of the DTU Tourism School.

The event was attended by Mr. Lee Sang Woong, CEO of Sebang Vina (a part of Sebang Group), Dr. Mo Chul Min, DTU Vice - Provost and also Rector of the Tourism School; Dr. Lim Sang Taek, DTU Vice - Provost and also Rector of the International School, along with numerous faculty members and students of the Tourism School.

 

Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Lee Sang Woong, CEO of Sebang Vina (Sebang Group), said: "Sebang Group is delighted and honored to have the opportunity to connect and award scholarships to esteemed DTU faculty members and students for the second consecutive year. We hope that these scholarships will provide support and further ignite passion and motivation among DTU faculty and students in their teaching and learning endeavors. Additionally, we hope these scholarships will contribute to motivating young talents to strive for their educational aspirations despite challenges."

The scholarships awarded by Sebang Group to students are based on criteria such as:

 

• Students who have not received any scholarships before,

• Students with the highest GPA in each major (based on their GPA in Semester 1 of the 2023-2024 academic year),

• Students from difficult financial backgrounds,

• Students with achievements and contributions to activities and clubs at the Tourism School, such as recruitment, student union, and clubs.

 

 

 

These scholarships, sponsored by Sebang Group, serve as a significant reward to support students on their journey to acquire knowledge and develop themselves.
