On June 15th at DTU’s 3 Quang Trung campus, the Center for Development of Community Initiative & Environment (C&E) organized the first session of its four-day training course “Renewable Energy & Net Zero/Zero Carbon” on the integration of the concepts of renewable energy, net zero, and zero carbon into education.
The workshop on Renewable Energy & Net Zero/Zero Carbon attracted a large number of lecturers
“I’m very pleased to meet, interact, and exchange knowledge with thirty young lecturers from different regions across the country today and to share knowledge about renewable energy,” C&E Director Ms Bui Thi Thanh Thuy said at the training session. “The purpose of the course is to introduce the concept of energy transition and creative and effective integrated teaching methods for renewable energy, net zero, and zero carbon during this energy transition to the participants and have discussions about this. Additionally, we’ll organize practical activities where the participants can observe how to develop lesson plans, and activities that integrate energy transition into specific topics that can be introduced into curriculums. I’d also like to thank DTU for preparing and arranging such a convenient and beautiful training venue for us.”
At the first session, Assoc.Prof. Dr Le Anh Tuan from the Research Institute for Climate Change at Can Tho University discussed two topics with the lecturers:
? Renewable energy, net zero, zero carbon, and other issues,
? Introduction to effective and engaging communication methods on renewable energy.
The training session provided the lecturers with a wealth of knowledge and facilitated connections among young lecturers
The lecturers engaged in very positive and lively discussions on these two topics, asking various questions and giving their opinions. The lecturers were then divided into groups for further discussion and to answer the questions posed by the C&E during the training.
Aside from the learning and knowledge exchange sessions, the lecturers could also interact and connect with each other through recreational activities, which brought a cheerful, dynamic, and exciting atmosphere and relieved the stress of acquiring new knowledge.
“I find this training topic very interesting and meaningful and it’s a topic that our School cares about,” DTU School of Engineering & Technology Vice - Rector Dr. Nguyen Phuoc The said at the workshop. “I hope that this workshop will provide the DTU School of Engineering & Technology and the lecturers from other universities present here at the workshop with new knowledge on the energy transition. I’m especially delighted to interact and exchange knowledge with all the lecturers here, and I wish them all an enjoyable training experience in Danang.”
After the first session, the young lecturers got to know each other better. With this course, the thirty young lecturers from all over the country will surely gain a wealth of knowledge, have a lot of fun, and form new professional relationships.
