On June 7th, the DTU Student Scientific Research Conference was held at 3 Quang Trung campus. Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice - Provost, Prof. Dr. Tran Huu Dang, DTU Vice - Provost, Rector of the DTU School of Medicine and Pharmacy; Dr. Truong Tien Vu, Head of the DTU Department of Science and Technology; members of the judging panel, and DTU students attended.
The 2024 Student Scientific Research Conference featured 20 projects from 4 fields selected for presentation
The annual Student Scientific Research Conference aimed at fostering the thinking, creativity, and scientific research abilities of students across various fields. Excellent projects, once evaluated, will be considered for the "Student Scientific Research" awards at various levels and submitted to the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City to participate in the Student Scientific Research competition.
Addressing the conference, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai said: “Firstly, I would like to congratulate the 20 highest-rated projects selected to participate in this year's conference. After several rounds of selection within the training schools, today’s conference gathers the best-quality research projects with high practical application potential. Through this conference, the most excellent projects will be further evaluated and refined to submit for higher-level competitions.”

The 2024 DTU Student Scientific Research Conference included 20 projects of 4 fields:
- Science and Technology
- Computer Science
- Health Sciences
- Economics and Social Sciences
The projects presented at the 2024 DTU Student Scientific Research Conference were highly regarded for their novelty, creativity, and practical applicability. Additionally, many projects chose appropriate research methods and achieved significant economic, technical, and social effectiveness. Projects with accompanying models or products received extra points during the evaluation process.
The excellent projects, after being evaluated, will be submitted for higher-level Student Scientific Research competitions
To ensure fair and accurate evaluation of the student research projects, the Organizers based their assessment on specific criteria such as the project idea, project objectives, research methods, research results, the presentation format of the project summary report, and the publication of research results in scientific journals both domestically and internationally.
The Organizers decided to award the best projects as follows:
• Science and Technology:
- First prize: “Factors Affecting the Production Process of Artistic Blooming Tea from Blue Lotus (Nymphaea cerulea)”
- Second prize: “Research and Forecasting the Impact of High-Rise Basement Construction on Adjacent Structures in Da Nang City”
- Third prize: “Research and Design of PLC MITSUBISHI FX2N 24MR Controller to Replace S7-1200 in the Laboratory”
• Computer Science:
- First prize: “Developing an Automation Platform to Optimize Digital Transformation - automationpro Pro-X”
- Second prize: “Applying Blockchain Technology to Solve Data Integration Issues in Supply Chain Management”
- Third prize: “Beacon Voice Assistant For the Visually Impaired”
• Health Sciences:
- First prize: “Circulating MicroRNA in Serum of Patients with Coronary Artery Disease”
- Second prize: “Research on Encapsulation of Alpinia Breviligulata Gagnep Essential Oil with Chitosan/Cyclodextrin Particles and application to control disease- transmitting mosquitoes”
- Third prize: “Preliminary Research on Formulating Granules from Bitter Melon”
• Economics and Social Sciences:
- First prize: “Factors Influencing Customers' Decision to Choose Driver Hire Services in Da Nang: A Case Study at GoCheap”
- Second prize: “Factors Influencing Customers' Decision to Purchase Life Insurance in Da Nang”
- Third prize: “Research on Methods of Learning English through English songs by DTU students of Language.”
