On June 15, the DTU Hospitality & Tourism Institute (HTi) awarded students and lecturers with Provost Scholarships, funded by a 150 million VND donation by the Sebang Group. The objective was to encourage disadvantaged students to overcome their difficulties and then achieve outstanding academic results.
The Sebang Group was represented by Mr. Jeong Chae Ho of the Sebang Vina Company; DTU HTi by DTU Vice-Provosts Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu and Dr. Lim Sang Taek; HTi Provost Dr. Mo Chul Min, lecturers and students.

The Sebang Group is the largest general logistics company in South Korea and pioneered the loading and unloading of goods at ports using most efficient technologies. Their long experience in the industry led to the development of import & export operations and logistics, with facilities specially designed for the transportation of large loads. In November 2014, Sebang started investing in forwarding logistics in Vietnam and, in 2015, started planning a logistics center, headquartered in Hanoi, with branches in HCMC and Hai Phong, which provide local logistics services in Vietnam and one-stop logistics services internationally.
“I’m delighted to attend today’s ceremony,” said Mr. Ho. “I know that DTU is one of Vietnam’s top universities and that the Hospitality major is ranked in the top one hundred worldwide. The Sebang Group is honored to collaborate with DTU and I am sure that we will both develop an even stronger relationship in the future.”

Mr. Jeong Chae Ho of Sebang and Provost Min jointly awarded prizes worth 5 million VND each to lecturers who have contributed to the strong growth of DTU, and scholarships of 3 million VND each to student who will set an example for others in the future.

In addition, awards were presented to HTi lecturers who made notable contributions to DTU research, business relations, and enrollment activities over the years.
