On March 29th, DTU signed an agreement with Thai Nguyen University to improve the quality of education, research and staff development, and allowing students from the two universities to meet, have discussions and share their experiences.
Thai Nguyen University was founded in 1994 and is a diversified, multi-disciplinary institution with 11 academic, 1 research and 7 academic support units. It continues to grow into a leading regional university, focusing on promoting research and high-quality technology transfer, meanwhile actively contributing to the economic, cultural and social development of the Northern Midland and Mountainous region of Vietnam.
The signing
After discussion and negotiation, DTU and Thai Nguyen University agreed to sign an agreement on education and scientific research. The MOU agrees on cooperation in:
- The exchange of lecturers to provide guidance for Doctoral and Master’s theses
- Building and sharing undergraduate and postgraduate training programs
- Mutual recognition of credit between the two universities
- Participation in international training and student exchange programs
- Organizing cross-university research groups
- Organizing international and national seminars and conferences
- Implementing scientific publications and scientific and technological reporting required by Thai Nguyen Province and the Northwest region of Vietnam
- Sharing facilities and resources to support research
- Activities to support and promote the startup ecosystem in universities and regions
Over time, as the relationship between DTU and Thai Nguyen University strengthens, the universities will implement their own development strategies to promote educational innovation and enhance the quality of students to contribute to the development of Vietnam in general.
