DTU Supports the Quang Ngai Provincial Science & Technology Contest for High School Students

On February 1 and 2, DTU worked with the Quang Ngai province Department of Education & Training to organize the Quang Ngai Provincial Science & Technology contest for high school students, at the Le Trung Dinh high school. Thirty schools and educational institutions with a variety of diverse projects attended, and the contest was held in an environment where the students could demonstrate their knowledge and innovative skills in research and technology to solve practical problems.

The contest was attended by the leadership of the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Education & Training, DTU, high school board members, instructors and students.  This year, 89 projects were submitted in fourteen fields and four categories Social & Life Sciences: social & behavioral sciences; systems software, robots & intelligent machines and embedded systems; environmental engineering; and mechanical engineering.

DTU was the main sponsor and supporter of the contest and sent a delegation of experts in different fields to provide consulting and professional support to the secondary schools, the education offices, and to the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Education & Training. DTU to help the students apply their knowledge to solving practical real-time problems, develop their scientific abilities, and meet with and exchange ideas with other schools in the province. The projects were meaningful and well prepared and 62 of the 89 were recognized as excellent, with 8 first prizes, 13 second, 18 third, and 23 fourth prizes. 5 of these were selected for the finals.

During the contest, participating universities demonstrated some of their own projects and DTU gave information and answered questions about the 2023 High School Graduation exam, and details on enrollment and career orientation. The DTU booth exhibited its iRobot, which guides passengers at Danang International Airport, electric wheelchairs for the disabled, and medical simulation models.
