On January 9, the DTU International School signed an agreement with the BK21 Education and Research team from the Department of Management Information Systems at Dong-A University in Korea, to enhance research capability and the quality of human resources. In August 2022, DTU had already signed an agreement with Dong-A University to improve the quality of human resources and to promote joint development.
In attendance were Dr. Ryu Min Ho, Department Chair of Management Information Systems, CBA and leader of the Education and Research Team of Smart Governance on the Smart City project; Dr. Kim Sang Jin, Professor of Management Information Systems, CBA; Mr. Park Sungho, a reseacher from the Education and Research Team of Smart Governance on the Smart City project ; Professor Lim Sang Taek, DTU Vice-Provost and Rector of the DTU International School; Dr. Nguyen Duc Man, Vice-Rector of the DTU International School; and DTU lecturers.

Dr. Ryu Min Ho stated that he welcomed the opportunity to cooperate further with DTU. The Big Data and AI fields are developing rapidly, and his team of highly experienced experts will soon support research and exchanges through the expanded agreement. Dong-A university is located in the beautiful port city of Busan and is one of Korea’s most famous private institutions, advancing the internationalization of the Dong-A by cultivating active, intelligent and creative academicians.
The university has twelve colleges and ten graduate schools, with world class researchers and teaching staff to graduate internationalized human resources. DAU was rated “Excellent” by the Korean Council for University Education and the Korean Association of University Professors.
The signing
The agreement was made in anticipation of the integration of the two economies of Vietnam and South Korea to:
- Promote international exchange and strengthen research cooperation
- Organize joint research and seminars to discuss research to enhance international exchange
- Provide the infrastructure for research
- Support lecturer training programs
- Investigate data cooperation, information exchange and the provision of other utilities
After the signing, Dr. Ryu Min Ho presented two topics:
- Convergence Methodology of Text Mining and IPA (Importance - Performance Analysis)
- Disease Classification and Stock Prediction with Big Data.
