“The Danang Hi-Tech Park is one of three high-tech parks in Vietnam established by the government,” explained Deputy-Head Tran Van Ty. “Our main task is to incubate original start-up ideas, especially breakthrough products from local universities. Our mission is to bring the State, universities and entrepreneurs together and support students and researchers in their projects.”

Five exemplary potential projects evolving from universities were presented by well-known local companies:

- Environmental monitoring stations on rivers and at sea to optimize renewable energy sourcing
- Using drones and emergency bracelets in rescues
- Smart rice cookers
- FastJob, an application to find work at home
- An artificial intelligence solution to locate abnormalities in the diagnosis of lung diseases using X-rays

All the ideas had good points and benefits, but with limitations. The experts recognized their feasibility however and helped pave the way for the research & development of the inventions.
