On November 5, the DTU School of Technology held its second Science Conference, entitled “Technology for the Future”, to promote research activities at the university.

Dr. Ha Dac Binh, the Dean, said: “Building on the success of our first science conference, this time we have attracted the interest of authors from inside and outside the School. We received 21 papers of high interest for presentation at this year’s conference, in various fields, including Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Mechanical, Automation, Construction, Architecture & Environment. All papers presented at the conference will be published in our yearbook and the organizers will select the best papers for publishing in the DTU Journal of Science and Technology. I hope that this conference will enable you to exchange and share your scientific research results, and network to development partnerships between researchers, lecturers, and students of Engineering & Technology.”
Attendees
The conference was comprised of three subcommittees, covering several topics, including presentations on:
- Teaching Electrical Engineering students to program humanoid robots to create a positive and effective learning environment for foreign-language students
- The status of the urban greenery management and development project on the Quang Ngai coastal plains, with a report on soil analysis and climate characteristics, as well as the regional economic development plans for the near future
- A report on the development of the project to provide low-cost prosthetic legs for the disabled
- The status of the project researching and assessing the environment and care of young children in the Thuan Phuoc ward of the Hai Chau district of Danang”, using a quantitative method to assess the infrastructure and the comfort levels of the children, to explore the possibility of creating a child-friendly urban area there.
This new annual event will help DTU lecturers and staff to focus more clearly on research activities. Furthermore, these conferences will enable attendees to become more professional in their research projects and allow them to exchange their experiences and present their findings.
