The DTU 2022-2023 Opening Ceremony

On October 22, at the 2022-2023 opening ceremony, DTU awarded 385 full and partial scholarships totaling 1.5 billion dong to incent selected incoming students in their studies. The university also reduced fees by 10.2 million dong for K28 students affected by natural disasters in Central Vietnam. 
The DTU Board of Directors inspired the new students, encouraging them to overcome all the difficulties and challenges on the road ahead to realize their dreams.

Dr. Le Nguyen Bao beats the drum to welcome in the new academic year
DTU Provost, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao said: “By choosing to study at DTU, you will all be able to pursue internationally accredited programs to refine your personal strengths. DTU offers some new Bachelor’s degree majors this year, in Data Science, Computer Networks, Data Communications, and Tourism and Travel Service Management; Master’s degrees in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems; and PhD degrees in Solid-State Physics, Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, and Atomic and Nuclear Physics.

DTU awards a full scholarship and a laptop to Dinh Thi Hoai Nhi, a K28 DTU Valedictorian 
After years of educational, personnel and research development, DTU is now renowned for its many achievements and retains its position in the global rankings:  
- Top 500 World Universities, by Times Higher Education, in 2023
- Top 801-1000 universities, by QS World University Rankings, in 2023
- Top 577 Global Universities, by U.S. News & World Report, in 2022
With the highest HSGE exam score of 29.5, Dinh Thi Hoai Nhi from Dak Lak was awarded a full scholarship and a laptop when she enrolled in International Relations. Seven other students with high HSGE results, who enrolled in each of the seven DTU schools, also received scholarships. 
Hoai Nhi said: “We chose DTU for a fresh start, full of youthful energy and enthusiasm. We will face new challenges, so we must get used living alone, self-study, problem solving and planning to achieve our personal objectives. During our journey we will become mature, responsible and successful through hard work. We will overcome the many difficulties and challenges on the road ahead and exploit the opportunities to gain the self-confidence and strength to realize our ambitions.”

The agreement with Dong Thap University 
At the meeting, an agreement was also signed with Dong Thap University to partner on improvements in training, human resource management and research.
