On June 27, the DTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering held the launching ceremony of the Young Researcher & Start-up Club and the Igus company’s roadshow on robot technology. Attendees included Mr. Vo Minh Thong, Head of PNU Mechatronics, Mr. Nguyen Pham Cong Duc, lecturer in charge of Start-up at the faculty, Mr. Pham Ngoc Quang, an officer of the CEE center, Mr. Le Duc Thuan, Vice Chairman of the DTU Student Association, Mr. Tran Nhat Tan, General Director of Igus Vietnam, Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh, representative of Igus in Danang, and a lot of lecturers and students of the DTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Le Duc Thuan, representative of the DTU Student Association, read the decision to establish the Young Researcher & Start-up Club of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Pham Van Mai, Secretary of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, will be in charge of management, recruitment of members, and maintanance of scientific research and start-ups for the club. A lot of other lecturers and staff were also selected to become members of the Club’s board of management.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Nhat Tan, General Director of Igus Vietnam, congratulated the DTU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the board of management of the Young Researcher & Start-up Club. He also told students and lecturers about Igus company’s robot technology and answered students’ questions about mechanical engineering, researching and making robots, AI technology, the software used in creating robots, and job opportunities in the field of mechanical engineering in the future.
The Igus Company representative also brought a product simulating a robot’s activities to help students visualize the operation of industrial robots.
