On June 12th, the DTU Media center held the final of the 2022 Students’ Beauty through Lens Contest and DTU’s 2022 Tiktok Challenge. The competition drew the participation of many students. Through each thrilling round, contestants had the opportunities to compete and showcase their talents and grace.
Wishing to bring students the opportunity to connect and make friends after a long time of online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the DTU Media center held the 2022 Students’ Beauty through Lens Contest and DTU’s 2022 Tiktok Challenge. Launched in April, both contests drew the participation of many students from universities and high schools in Danang. After many qualifying rounds, the board of organizers selected the top 14 candidates to enter the finals of the 2022 Students’ Beauty through Lens Contest and the top 4 to enter the finals of DTU’s 2022 Tiktok Challenge.
Ao Dai competition
Attendees included Ms. Vo Thi Thuong, Miss Sports in the Miss Tourism Da Nang 2022 beauty pageant; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tran Chau, Miss Ao Dai in the Miss Tourism Danang 2022 beauty pageant; sponsors for the contest, including Ms Le Chi, CEO of Rong Tien Sa Media and Chairwoman of Wlin Golden in Danang; Ms. Le Thi Thu Nguyet, representative of Vani Makeup Academy; and Mr. Nguyen Khoa Bao, representative of Lightly Films; members of the board of organizers; and a lot of DTU students.
Ms. Le Thi Minh Chung, DTU Media center director, said: “Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic spread when DTU K26 & K27 students had just entered the university. Consequently, as soon as the pandemic was under control, the DTU Media center decided to hold these two contests to bring students a platform to showcase their talent, dynamism, and beauty. Hopefully, participating in the contests today will leave students with beautiful moments of youth.”
Through the Students’ Beauty through Lens Contest, students can confidently showcase their intelligence, creativity, and elegance. Entering the finals, each contestant had to be in two Ao dai and Free Style Dress competitions. Then the five most outstanding contestants were selected to advance to the question responses round. In this round, they had the opportunity to showcase their intelligence and response skills.

After nearly 3 hours, the jury found the most outstanding contestants. With her gorgeous beauty and good response skills, Nguyen Thi My Tam, a female student of K26QTH4, excellently won the first prize. The two second prizes went to Luu Dai Toan, a student of K27DSG, and Nguyen Khanh Linh, a student from Son Tra High School, and the third prizes to Le Manh An, a student of class K27CMUTPM1, and Nguyen Thi My Hanh, a student of class K27YDD1. The favorite contestant award was for Nguyen Huynh Dieu Ha, a student of class K27QTM15.
The board of organizers also awarded prizes to those who participated in DTU’s 2022 Tiktok Challenge. With their impressive and creative products, the following “Tiktokers” received the prizes:
- Vo Hoai Nam (class K24VTD) with the DTU Tiktok Master prize
- Nguyen Le Quang Anh (class K25PSUDLL7) with the Idea prize
- DTU Business English Club with the Talent prize
- Duong Thi Thu Hien (K27HPQTM1) with the Style prize

The atmosphere at the event was great with the performances by contestants and and music acts by Khanh Ly, Quang Anh, and Hti’s Dance Club. Especially, the cheers of encouragement from the audience made the atmosphere more exciting.
The finals of the 2022 Students’ Beauty through Lens Contest and DTU’s 2022 Tiktok Challenge took place smoothly and happily. The “Tiktokers” also sent meaningful messages through their videos. Hopefully, the competitions will continue to attract more students in the next years.
