DTU Students Honored with “Student with Five Good Merits” Titles and January Star Awards

On January 5th, the Vietnam Students' Association, (VSA), organized an in-person and online ceremony, broadcast nationwide. 291 excellent students and 60 teams were awarded central level “Student with Five Good Merits” and "Student Collective of Five Merits" titles and another 109 received January Star Awards, in recognition of their outstanding academic results and contributions to the student movement.
 
In Danang, the Danang Youth Union and the Danang Student Association celebrated the 72nd anniversary of the traditional Vietnamese Students’ Day and recognized the two teams and two individuals who won Central level “Student with Five Good Merits” titles, one with a January Star and one “9/1” award, as well as others with City-level “Students with Five Good Performances” titles.

The “Student with Five Good Merits" movement was launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association and aims to create a stable, new educational environment for student development that meets current national requirements. The new VSA January Star is awarded to members of the Youth Union with the highest academic results and contributions to the student movement. 
Ngo Dinh Nam, from the DTU K23 YDK6 class, received a January Star Award, including a VSA Certificate and 3 million dong.

Tran Dac Dien receives the Central-level “Student with Five Good Merits” title 
 
Two DTU Medical students, Nguyen Thanh An and Tran Dac Dien were honored to be one of the 291 excellent students nationwide to receive this title. Especially, Nguyen Thanh An was among 72 distinguished students to be awarded the title “Student with Five Good Merits” at the Central- level. In addition, two teams from the DTU Faculty of Medicine, won Central level "Students Collective of Five Good Merits” titles.

Students achieved “Student with Five Good Merits” titles at city level were presented Certificates and 2 million dong each by VSA. Particularly, 72 distinguished students awarded the Central-level "Student with Five Good Merits” titles received 10 million dong each, while teams awarded the Central - level "Student Collective of Five Good Merits” titles were pseented 3 million dong each.  
 
Nguyen Thanh An said: “I have tried my in my studies and social responsibilities over the past year. Despite several problems, I continue to progress, thanks to the staunch support and encouragement of the DTU Youth Union and Student Association. Meanwhile, I have matured and acquired new, valuable skills and this award has motivated me to overcome future challenges.”

The Danang Student Association awarded City-level “Student with Five Good Merits” titles to 85 students and 9 teams. DTU was represented by 2 teams and 27 individuals. Winners were Vo Mai Tuyet Nhi, Duong Thi Lan Anh, Huynh Khanh Linh, Le Thi Tran Hong Phan, Luc Thi Thu Thao, Nguyen Hung Thinh, Nguyen Ngoc Diem Quynh, Nguyen Thuy Quynh, Nguyen Thi Hong Le, Nguyen Thi Xuan Hien, Nguyen Dao Truc Vy, Ngo Thi Minh Nguyet, Phan Le Ngoc Duy, Tran Anh Kiet, Tran Thi Thanh Hoa, Dinh Thi Thuy Quynh, Nguyen Viet Lac Thu, Nguyen Hoang Minh Tam, Ngo Nguyen Mai Linh, Pham Thao Van, Tran Thi Phuong, Nguyen Thanh An, Nguyen Quang Minh Hien, Vo Viet Thang, Truong Ngoc Hoang Quy, Tran Dac Dien and Vo Thi Han Chau.

Tran Thi Thanh Hoa, Secretary of the Union branch of DTU Faculty of Business was awarded a 9/1 Prize by the City Student Association, for her academic achievements, social work and student movement activities.
