Nguyen Duc Duy, from Tran Quoc Tuan High School in Quang Ngai, is one of the highest-scoring applicants ever to enroll in Duy Tan University, with 28.05/30 points in the 2021 HSGE, including a 9.6 in English. Nguyen Duc Duy enrolled in Multimedia Communications and received a full DTU scholarship because of his outstanding performance.

Duc Duy’s mother motivated him to study hard
There are only two people in Duc Duy’s family, just him and his mother, so she encouraged him to always study hard. Duc Duy said: “For many years, my mother worked very hard to raise me. I always remind myself that I must work diligently to make her feel proud of me. Everyone thinks that I study from early morning to late night, but actually I don’t drive myself crazy. In class, I concentrate on the lecturers and then spend time at home reviewing my notes. It’s important for me to understand the main ideas of the lectures and stay calm enough to study the most effectively”

Duc Duy added: “I play badminton, listen to music, sing, play the guitar, take and edit photos. I taught myself the guitar and perform with friends who have the same musical interests. I enjoy taking photos of different things and then edit them with Lightroom or Snapseed, and occasionally edit photos for my friends. Whenever I’m in a bad mood, I sit alone and watch the cars pass by, which reminds me of my future plans and all the things I haven’t yet done.”
DTU is the best choice
“When I was in the 12th grade, many of my friends didn’t know which university to go to but I decided on DTU because it’s one of the most famous universities in Central Vietnam. Some graduates told me that the DTU learning environment was excellent but asked me why I would choose to study at a private university with such a high score. I believe that we should choose a university which is best suited to our career goals. In the end my friends had the same idea and also applied to DTU,” explained Duc Duy.

Duc Duy plans to study Multimedia Communications. “I chose Multimedia Communications because it’s compatible with my personality and hobbies, especially photo editing. On graduation, I want to become a professional photographer or an MC. I hear that there are many clubs at DTU, including the Media Club, where I can broaden my abilities and will join it soon.” said Duy. “The scholarship is a big present for my mother and has motivated me to continue to work even harder at DTU to become successful.”
