In the past three years, most DTU Environmental students have found jobs immediately after graduation. With their thorough knowledge and considerable skills, they can be confident at work. Due to the bigger demand for environment studies in 2021, DTU continues to enroll applicants and offer many attractive scholarships.
DTU Environmental majors focus on research in order to meet social requirements
Environmental education at DTU can be differentiated from studies elsewhere because the DTU lecturers combine their teaching tasks with their research projects, enabling students to apply their expertise to solving real-life environmental issues. These include the treatment of domestic waste, wastewater from textile dyeing, and aquaculture wastewater. DTU has also been involved in an assessment of the quality of the marine environment after the Formosa pollution incident and, most recently, doing research and advising the Danang city authorities on vital local issues, such as landslides, beach erosion, groundwater salinization, and water availability during dry seasons. Besides, they have participated in research projects on the environment with Singapore Polytechnic to help the community.
With the thorough instruction of the Faculty of Environmental and Chemical Engineering lecturers and the latest facilities at DTU, students apply what they have learned to creatively create experimental models and achieve excellent results. Some impressive projects are the Production of Rice Husk and Coconut Paring Concrete, the Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil, the Design and Construction of a Grey Water Recycling System for Environmental Sustainability, the Production of Chitosan from Shrimp Shells, the Conversion of Soil Waste into Usable Products, and Biodiesel Production from Rubber Seed Oil.

All Environmental graduates are guaranteed to find jobs immediately, because of DTU’s partnerships with local business
In addition to focusing on enhancing the standard of education, over the past years, DTU has partnered with several companies to provide internship and work opportunities. While still at university, students can participate in field trips to gain extra experience and plan their future careers at such places as:
- PVL Brewery in Danang
- Vina Acecook
- Dong Giang Tea factory

Field trips supplement knowledge and skills
On field trips, students can understand more about development, processing and production, how modern technologies are applied, wastewater treatment, product development, food packaging, quality control and assurance, and food and nutrition laws and regulation management. The visits help to connect academic study to the real world and broaden understanding of the business environment in Vietnamese and foreign businesses.

DTU currently offers the following majors:
- Environmental Technology & Engineering
- Natural Resource & Environmental Management
- Travel Resource Management
There are a variety of jobs related to the environment available, for occupational safety specialists, environmental design engineers or monitoring specialists, water and solid waste treatment operations engineers, and environmental consultants, but student interest is still seriously lacking.Qualifying for these jobs requires passion, a broad knowledge in many fields and the ability to use Information Technology, but those who work in these fields can earn high salaries.
