Union member Ngo Dinh Nam - 1997

 

Ngo Dinh Nam

 

Ngo Dinh Nam is currently Secretary of the Faculty of Medicine Union Branch and a DTU School Union Standing Committee member for the 2019-2022 term. He received Certificates of Merit from the Danang City Union for his outstanding work in the 2018-2019 Danang youth movement and from the Faculty of Nursing for his Union work in the 2015-2016 student movement. Meanwhile, Dinh Nam also received a Certificate of Merit from the Binh Son district, in Quang Ngai province, for volunteering lay concrete roads in the Binh Phuoc commune in 2018.  In addition, Dinh Nam actively took part in the organization of major programs and events for DTU students, and in the emulation movement, social movements and charitable activities.

 

Union member Nguyen Pham Cong Duc - 1991

 

Nguyen Pham Cong Duc

 

Nguyen Pham Cong Duc is a lecturer in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Chairman of the DTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering Young Researchers and Startup Club. During his work at the university, Cong Duc has always participated in activities; the Green Summer campaign, installing condom dispensers in the Hai Chau, Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe districts of Danang; and as an “electronic doctor” in Hoa Phong in Hoa Vang, donating gifts and repairing electronic devices for poor households. Meanwhile, Cong Duc has been working on several research projects; researching, designing and manufacturing a visible-light audio transceiver and photographic transmitter; and building experimental kits for telecommunications education. In addition, he has published papers in well-known academic journals.

 

Union member Nguyen Thi Tuyet - 1993

 

Nguyen Thi Tuyet

 

Nguyen Thi Tuyet is currently the School Union Secretary and Chairwoman of the DTU Student Association. Nguyen Thi Tuyet advises the Youth Union and Student Association and develops innovative annual activities, which attract large numbers of Union members and students. These include the DTU Color Festival, the Freshmen Welcoming and DTU Travel Day events. Nguyen Thi Tuyet also encouraged union members and students to take part in contests organized by the City Union and the City Student Association. Their successes resulted in the DTU School Union winning Emulation Banners from the city of Danang, from 2015 to 2019 inclusively. Nguyen Thi Tuyet is also participates in several university research projects, successfully created the Coffee Startup model for DTU students in 2017 and 2018 and contributed her ideas to the development of the new Hospitality & Tourism Institute website.

 

Union member Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi - 1997

 

Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi

 

Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi is Vice-Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Chairwoman of the DTU Student Association Inspection Committee. Yen Nhi has been a dynamic Union leader in the Faculty of Business Administration. She has successfully organized major programs and events for DTU students and won several prizes, a second in the 2018 “Fatherland Seen from Sea” camp, a Skilled Student prize in the 2018 DTU Student Talent and Beauty Contest, a third prize and a creativity prize at the “Youthful Pace” flash mob contest at the 2018 International Fireworks Festival and for the successful promotion of blood donations in 2018 and 2019.

 

Union member Nguyen Tuan Kiet - 1997

 

Nguyen Tuan Kiet

 

Nguyen Tuan Kiet is currently Student Association Vice-Chairman of the DTU and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Inspection Committee and has organized many new and successful programs for the faculty student Unions. These include student research contests, startups and debates; the 2019 DTU Student Sports Festival with 19 disciplines and 3,000 athletes from all Faculty Union branches; the 2018 DTU Skilled Student contest; the annual Traditional Student Celebration Day; the Dong Xuan volunteer campaigns; and DTU blood donation programs.

 

These five DTU outstanding Union members have been honored as exemplary Union and Association members who have ignited their colleagues with their special enthusiasm and daring, youthful strength and radical spirit, ultimately greatly benefitting their local communities and hometowns.
