Since April, applicants from all over the country have submitted their applications to DTU earlier than usual, attracted by the continuation of the high school transcript admissions policy and the availability of one billion dong of scholarships.
Advantages of transcript-based admission
DTU has already received a great many transcript-based applications from students who graduated from high school in 2019 and earlier. Using the transcript-based admissions method, applicants feel less pressure during exams and selecting schools and majors. The most qualified students will be able to choose their preferred majors more confidently, before they take the High School Graduation Exam.
Many 2020 applicants enroll through the transcript-based admission method
DTU offers a variety of topics in each major and applicants can select their strongest academic subjects to accelerate the admissions process. Admission is limited and competition for the most popular majors is high. An early high school transcript application increases the probability of being admitted to a preferred major.
DTU accepts transcript-based applications for all majors in two different ways:
1. On grade 12 average scores
2. On early grade 11 and first term grade 12 results
Admission requirements:
• Nursing: a high school transcript score of 19.5 or more
• Pharmacy: a high school transcript score of 24 or more
• Medicine: Doctor of Odonto-Stomatology, a high school transcript score of 25 or more
• Other majors: a High School Transcript three-subject average score of 18 or more.
In addition, Architecture applicants must submit the results of a previous authorized technical drawing exam or sign up for a DTU exam to be held on August 7 and 8. Applicants can sign in

DTU accepts transcript-based applications for all majors. Applicants can choose one out of four sets of subjects, depending on the major they are applying for. If the results for the first subject set are insufficient, they can choose the subject set they have the best results for.
DTU staff and lecturers assist applicants
In 2020, to promote a spirit learning among applicants, DTU will award 2,600 scholarships worth 43 billion dong. In particular, for successful transcript-based applicants, the university has set aside 700 scholarships worth one billion dong to recognize the efforts they have expended to realize their career aspirations at DTU.
