On January 13, DTU and 20 other universities and colleges in Central Vietnam attended a Vocational & University Enrollment Counseling program at the Phan Chau Trinh High School. The event was co-sponsored by the Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Department of Higher Education, the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training, from the Ministry of Labor, and the Danang Department of Education and Training. Five thousand students from Danang and Quang Nam province attended.
DTU lecturers provide high schools students with important information on the upcoming university and college admissions
The meeting was divided into two parts. The first was a general counseling session, where experts from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor presented important information on the upcoming High School graduation exam and on university and college admissions. In the second specialized counseling session, the students learned more about each university’s individual enrolment procedures and schedules.
Local universities set up information booths to help students choose where to apply. At the DTU booth, they heard about the wide range of academic programs available, such as On-site Study-Abroad programs, in partnership with Troy University and Keuka College in the USA, and the CMU, PNU, PSU, and CSU advanced programs in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Hospitality and Tourism and others.

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, DTU Vice-Provost, a member of the Enrollment Counseling Board, introduced the DTU education programs and scholarships and gave advice on how to select them. He said: “The major you choose will have a significant effect on your future careers. You must therefore thoroughly research information on the university admission procedures and targets, scholarship policies and job opportunities on graduation. You should choose a university based on your passion and enthusiasm for studying there and then work your hardest all the way to the end.”
