On September 30, the DTU Faculty of Architecture held a welcoming ceremony for the new K24 Architecture students, who were able to get to know each other and acclimatize to their new surroundings.
The procession of the “Goddess of Colors”
They were greeted by lecturers and more senior students and enjoyed unique, unforgettable activities, including a procession of the "Goddess of Colors", a talent contest, a fashion show, Flashmob dancing and a campfire.
Dr. Le Vinh An, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Architecture said: “Today is the first time the Faculty of Architecture has held a welcoming ceremony for freshmen. Architecture is a very specialized major, integrating both technical and artistic skills, backed with continual innovation and hard work. On behalf of the DTU Provost, we want our new students to study well and have memorable experiences.”
The “Aborigine 4.0” performance
The talent show consisted of twenty performances enabling new students an opportunity to get comfortable, make new friends and increase their self-confidence. The older students sang and danced well and demonstrated their creativity by dressing up in costumes made from paper, nylon and leaves for the “Aborigine 4.0” show, with the message "Protect the environment by exploiting natural materials to keep our planet beautiful".
Throughout the day, the Architecture freshmen gained a deeper understanding of the DTU tradition and activities, ending with lecturers and students holding hands and singing loudly around a campfire, marking an unforgettable start to their studies.
