On August 27, DTU opened the Fourth International Conference of the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems (INISCOM 2018), in auditorium 702, 3 Quang Trung campus, Danang. It is a project in the Research Environment Links program, part of the Newton Program Vietnam, taking place on August 27 and 28, 2018, at DTU. Over fifty speakers from Vietnamese and foreign research institutions gathered for the INISCOM 2018 conference, to exchange information on advanced technologies and the newest research in the field.

“INISCOM has been held in Tokyo, Japan, in 2015, in Leicester, England, in 2016, and in Ho Chi Minh City in 2017,” said INISCOM 2018 Chairman Dr Duong Quang Trung when speaking at the opening ceremony. “This year, INISCOM selected DTU in Danang as its next stop, offering a forum where researchers, engineers, and representatives of universities and research institutes in Vietnam and abroad can exchange, talk, and solve the newest issues in telecommunications and computing technology as well as in Internet of Things (IoT) applications, aimed at improving people’s lives.”
At the INISCOM 2018 conference, the scientists will focus on applied industrial and technological solutions in industrial networks and intelligent systems, with topical sessions like “Enabling and testing new applications for 5G networks”, “System-level modeling and optimization of the energy efficiency in cellular networks”, “Development and deployment of an IoT-based reconfigurable system”, and “Converting the Vietnamese television news into 3D sign language animations for the Deaf”.

Over fifty papers were submitted by authors from 21 nations, from which the organizers selected 27 papers for presentation. All these papers will be published by Springer and distributed through the SpringerLink digital library, one of the biggest scientific libraries worldwide. INISCOM proceedings will be archived on Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as on EAI’s EU Digital Library (EUDL).
