On November 26th, Chung Chou University of Science and Technology in Taiwan (CCUT) granted scholarships to 37 students who enrolled in the Bachelor’s Degree program in Electrical Engineering at CCUT. Attendees included Assoc. Prof. Chai Yu Chin, CCUT President; Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, DTU Vice-provost; and 37 students and their parents.

Thirty-seven DTU students were awarded tuition scholarships of $1,000 each year for the Bachelor’s Degree program in Electrical Engineering at Chung Chou University of Science and Technology and a free four-month Chinese language course at DTU.
Dr. Ha Thi Nhu Hang explained: “With this scholarship, you will pay only 50,000 RMB per year instead of 65,000 RMB per year. During your studies, you will be guaranteed a 6 hours per day part-time job from Monday to Friday. The average wage is about 133 RMB per hour or higher depending on your abilities. “You can earn about 79,880 RMB per school-year (10 months). If you work on the 2 weekend days and in the summer months, you will earn more than 84,560 RMB per year. Therefore, you can afford your tuition fee and save money for after graduating”, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao said: “Taiwan is famous for its electronic manufacturing industry. If you are an Electrical Engineering student, Taiwan will be a great place for you to pursue your education and dreams. Graduating from the prestigious CCUT will be a golden ticket for your future career.”
Representatives of DTU and CCUT answered students’ questions about the scholarship and registration requirements. Those who enrolled in Electrical Engineering at CCUT with the scholarship are not allowed to transfer to any other majors. DTU also supports students in preparing the application.
