Hospitality and Tourism Education at DTU

Danang, with its stunning destinations such as My Khe beach, Marble Mountain and Ba Na Hills, is rapidly-developing its Tourism industry. Meanwhile the quality of restaurants, hotels and other services has also been rising rapidly and providing more and more well-paid jobs for local people. Keeping up with these developments, DTU has invested heavily in education facilities to provide more and more qualified workers to the Danang workplace.
 
Students practice at local tourism companies to improve their skills

Regarded as one of DTU’s leading and most popular majors, Hospitality and Tourism provides conventional classroom courses, supplemented by practical training in on campus three-star hotel rooms for those who choose to become receptionists, housekeepers, bar staff, waiters, kitchen staff and so on. In addition, students are also eligible for internships at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the Four Seasons, the Nam Hai, the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa, Saigontourist, Vitours and others, enabling them to practice becoming even more self-confident and proficient in their jobs.

DTU partners with Pennsylvania State University, one of the leading American universities in Economics and Business Administration, offering students the opportunity to study advanced international majors, including Tourism and Hotel Management, Tourism and Restaurant Management, to improve the standard of a DTU education. In these joint programs, students are taught directly by American lecturers from Pennsylvania University, receiving international certificates awarded by PSU. 
 
All these DTU Hotel Management and Tourism programs have been developed according to the standards of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. DTU graduates are able to apply for job in many related businesses, such as marketing, human resources, international finance, at tourist agencies and in government departments of Tourism, Culture and Sports.
