On September 14th, DTU held the 2017-2018 academic year Opening Ceremony to welcome new students.
Students with financial difficulties receiving scholarships
This year, DTU met its enrollment target of 5,150, with the Valedictorian scoring 28.5 in the National High School Exam. Several new courses were offered, including a Doctoral degree in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.

A full DTU scholarship worth 454 million vnd was awarded to K23 Valedictorian Le Thi Thu Ngan, who enrolled in the Troy University Hospitality and Hotel Management On-Site Study-Abroad degree program. Awards and Certificates of Merit were also presented to the sixteen leading new students, to five students who won prizes in national and international competitions in June 2017 and to five foreign students, one from Switzerland and four from Taiwan.
The Board of Trustees also awarded four disadvantaged students full scholarships to cover their entire tuition for all four years at DTU, to help them realize their dreams of a higher education.
