In 2017, DTU will enroll new students based on 2017 National High School Examination scores and on 12th grade high school records.
Enrollees
Universities nationwide began to enroll students early in May and grant preferential scholarships to applicants with good high school graduation examination scores. Applicants also enrolled early at DTU, the first and largest private university in Central region. In 2017, DTU will continue to provide five billion vnd scholarships for applicants with good high school graduation examination scores and, in addition, award one billion dong scholarships to encourage applicants with outstanding high school records to apply.
In 2017, DTU will offer two ways for students to apply:
(1) Admission based on 2017 National High School Examination scores for all majors.
(2) Admission based on 12th grade high school records for all majors, except the Pharmacology and Doctor of Medicine programs.
DTU will enroll students for 21 programs in 43 majors. For Bachelor’s degree applicants, DTU will offer programs, including IT, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Administration, Finance & Banking, Tourism, Medicine, Pharmacology, Nursing, Graphic Design, Literature & Journalism, International Relations and Economic Law.
For admission based on 12th grade school records, DTU will grant scholarships based on the total scores in three subjects:
* 250 scholarships of 2 million vnd to applicants with a minimum score of 24.
* 200 scholarships of 1.5bmillion vnd to applicants with a minimum score of 22.
* 150 scholarships of 500,000 vnd to applicants with a minimum score of 21.
DTU is complying with the guidance issued by the Ministry of Education and Training to choose subjects for admission based on school records. In addition to awarding preferential scholarships to applicants with high scores at the 2017 High School Graduation Exam, DTU created a separate scholarship mechanism for applicants applying to DTU through their academic transcripts. Applicants can choose one out of four subject groups in accord with the major they are applying for to be considered, and if this first subject group does not yet meet conditions, the applicants can continue with the remaining subject groups and choose the one with highest grades to be considered.
Applicants must pass the National High School Examination with a minimum average score of 18 in three subjects. For Architecture, applicants must take a drawing exam held at their schools or at DTU on July 1st and 2nd, and then submit the exam result with their applications by 5pm on June 15th.
With dorms for more than three thousand students and with its many preferential policies and scholarships based on transcripts, DTU is a prestigious destination for students to enjoy a high-quality academic environment where they can explore freely and unleash their passion for studying and research in this new academic year 201-2018.
