Many had high impact factors, including seven on community health, written by the DTU Center for Global Health Innovations, with an impact factor of 44.002, and others, entitled “DNA Redox Hydrogels: Improving Mediated Enzymatic Bio-Electro-Catalysis”, by Dr. Nguyen Van Khiem, with an impact factor of 9.3, “Higher-Density Culture in Human Embryonic Stem Cells Resulting in DNA Damage and Genome Instability” by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ha, with and impact factor of 5.3. Other DTU papers were published in journals with a high H-index, including 12 in journals with H-indexes from 300 to 600, 14  H-indexes from 150 to 299, and 23 H-indexes from 100 to 149.

DTU conducted research in several fields in 2016, such as Physics, with 50 papers, Mathematics, with 13, Chemistry with 17, Biology with 9, Materials Science with 33, Electrical and Telecommunication with 14, IT with 7 and Medicine with 19.

The research projects were conducted by teams in the DTU Institute for Research and Development, including the Materials Science, Molecular-Biology, Advanced Chemistry, Global Health Innovations, Computing and Data Processing centers, by the Advanced Electrical-Telecommunications and Nuclear Physics teams and others. DTU researchers received awards recognizing their achievements in 2016 by the Chairperson of Danang People’s Committee, for their contribution of twenty-two papers and four co-authored papers in conjunction with the Danang University of Education and the Danang University of Technology.

In late December 2016, a paper entitled “A Simultaneous Microscopic Description of Nuclear Level Densities and Radiative Strength Functions”, by Associate Professor Nguyen Quang Hung of DTU, was published in the Physical Review Letters. This is the second Vietnamese research paper by Vietnamese researchers to be published in the world’s leading Physics journal. The first one was written by a team led by Professor Doan Nhat Quang from the Vietnam Physics Institute published in 2002.
