A Fulbright Program Introductory Seminar

On December 17th, a Fulbright Program introductory seminar was held at DTU, with representatives of the Fulbright Program, Fulbright Scholar alumni and DTU lecturers and students in attendance.

Established in 1946 and funded by the U.S. Congress, the Fulbright Program aims to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries by way of educational and cultural exchange.

The Fulbright Program in Vietnam works with Vietnamese and American educational and governmental organizations to provide opportunities for study and research in the social sciences and humanities to candidates holding a Master’s degree in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Technology.

The latest information about the Fulbright Program in Vietnam was presented, including the fields of study, eligibility, application procedures and deadlines. Applicants may apply for scholarships in American Literature, Education, Project Management, American Studies, Environmental Research, Psychology, Agricultural Economics, Information Systems, Journalism, Public Policy, Media, Linguistics, Humanities, Philosophy, Women’s Studies and others.

Ms. Vu Thi Chau Sa, a Fulbright Scholar alumnus, said: “Fulbright Scholarship applicants must present their detailed study plans and targets by writing a compulsory essay, so you should describe your thoughts and career objectives honestly in your application. Don’t copy the style of others, be original and impress the selection committee.”
