Duy Tan University opened LTC, the Learning & Testing Center, located on the 5th Floor at 254 Nguyen Van Linh in Danang. The aim of LTC is to help students to meet today’s stringent employment requirements. LTC will prove to be an excellent way for the people of Danang and the Central Region to improve their English, Japanese, Informatics and Information Security education.
The IELTS and Cambridge English Certification Training and Preparation Courses
LTC is offering a variety of training courses for the IELTS exam and the Cambridge Certificate at all levels and is one of only two authorized IELTS examination centers in Danang.
The International English Language Testing System, IELTS, measures the language proficiency of students planning to study or work overseas in countries where English is the essential form of communication. At LTC, candidates can choose one of seven courses in the four skills of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, for six hours a week. The levels are Pre-IELTS 1, Pre-IELTS 2, IELTS 4.0-4.5, IELTS 4.5-5.0, IELTS 5.0-6.0, IELTS 6.0-6.5 and IELTS 6.5-7.0+.
IELTS classes will have 8 to 20 students and, at each level, LTC will balance the teaching load between Vietnamese and native English speakers. For example, for Pre-IELTS 1, all the teachers will be Vietnamese teachers whereas, at the IELTS 6.5-7.0+ level, they will all be native English speakers. In addition, candidates may enroll in a four-hour a week courses to improve their IELTS skills. Reading and Writing will be taught by Vietnamese and Speaking by native speakers.
Modern LTC Facilities at DTU
The Cambridge English Certificate is also recognized internationally by universities and employers to measure the language abilities of their students and staff. LTC will offer two preparation courses, Cambridge English for Children aged from 7 to 12, at the Starters, Movers and Flyers levels, and Cambridge English for Adults at the KET, PET, FCE and CAE levels. These courses will enable students to study overseas or teach English at primary and secondary schools in Vietnam. The Cambridge English Certificate is indispensable for prospective Vietnamese teachers of English.
The CCNA Certification Training and Preparation Course
The CCNA Certificate originated at CISCO and stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate. A CCNA Certificate will broaden employment opportunities for aspiring experts in Information Security and Network Management. LTC has developed professional, standardized training programs to prepare Network Engineers with a basic technical knowledge, with the following qualifications:
- To be able to analyze existing business requirements and design a networking system.
- To develop a WAN connecting company branches.
- To effectively operate switched and routed networks.
- To develop network services and essential techniques to improve productivity in operations management.
On graduation, candidates will be able to design a network for at least 150 users, with three to five branches running in parallel. After enrolling for CCNA certification at LTC, students will pass the exam if they have satisfactory test scores and full attendance. The course was designed by LTC based on the latest CCNA V.6.0 test version, for 9 hours a week, under the instruction of lecturers holding CCNA, CCNP or CCIE W certificates.

The MOS Certification Preparation Course
The preparation course for the Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate at LTC provides students with the required skills in Microsoft Office, to become certified Microsoft Office Specialists, which also broadens their career opportunities.
Candidates will study Microsoft Office 2010/2013 to prepare for the exam, using real-time copyrighted software and completing trial tests before taking the exam. Students can earn a MOS certification by studying for 9 hours a week at the three following levels:
- Specialist: Validate basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Expert: Validate advanced skills in key MS Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
- Master: Validate a full knowledge of all the required skills to master the use MS Office programs, including Word Expert, Excel Expert, PowerPoint Expert and MS Outlook or MS Access or MS SharePoint or OneNote.
