The Hour of Code competition

Dr. Nguyen Tan Thang, DTU Vice- Provost and Dean of Foreign Languages, said: “Currently the Smartphone market has significantly expanded but the number of applications written by Vietnamese developers has been limited, because studying programming has not been considered important. More competitions should be held frequently so that IT students can demonstrate their creativity and talent.”

Participants worked in teams to develop a software app in two hours. They were asked to perfect either a game or a story to operate on a Smartphone. As steps were completed, they were posted on https://www.facebook.com/cnttcmu, teams were tagged and points totaled.
