DTU Valedictorian Scores 26.75 out of 30 on the Entrance Exam

Many candidates who enrolled at DTU this year scored 21 and above in the entrance exam and received full and partial scholarships. With 26.75, Huynh Tan Dung from Quang Nam province chose to study IT in the CMU advanced program and became a DTU Valedictorian. DTU will enroll 2,000 students in the first supplementary admission, which broadens their choice of courses and scholarships.

This year, 50 partial and full scholarships of 800 million vnd each will be granted to outstanding students enrolling in the joint Upper Iowa University On-Site Study-abroad program. The university will also offer scholarships in partnership with others. Full scholarships will be granted to:
 
• Students in the Doctor of Medicine program who score 26 or more in the entrance exam,
• Students in the Pharmacology program who score 25 or more,
• Students in all programs, including the CMU, PSU, and CSU advanced programs (except for the Doctor of Medicine and Pharmacology programs) who score 23 or more.
• DTU grants scholarships worth 50% of the tuition fee to students in the CMU, PSU, and CSU advanced programs who score 21 or above.
 
Huynh Tan Dung scored 26.75 

With 26.75, Huynh Tan Dung was granted a full scholarship when he joined the advanced CMU IT program. He said: “My cousin, who studies IT at another university in Danang, advised me to enroll in the DTU IT program, which confused me. When I researched the DTU programs however, I was impressed by the international partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, one of the top four IT universities in America. I expect to become a skilled software developer after four years at DTU, thanks to its well-known programs, expert lecturers and modern facilities.” 
 
Nguyen Hoang Tien Dung scored 23.5 and enrolls in Tourism-Hotel Management 

Since childhood, Nguyen Hoang Tien Dung, from Gia Lai, has travelled everywhere with her family, so she wanted to work in Tourism when she got older. She came second in the provincial Gifted in Literature contest in grade 12 and scored 23.5 in the university entrance exam. She quickly enrolled in the Tourism and Hotel Management course at DTU and was delighted that Pennsylvania State University (PSU), one of the top 5 public universities in Hotel Administration and Hospitality in America, was one of DTU’s long-term partners. “I believe that with my childhood experience and my studies at DTU will allow me to make a contribution to the country’s development in the future”, she said.

Nguyen Hong Tieu Minh scored 23.5
 
With 23.5, Nguyen Hong Tieu Minh, from Quang Nam province, decided to study Business Administration in DTU’s On-Site Study-Abroad program. At high school, she won two third prizes in provincial contests of Eloquence in English and Gifted English. She often visits her elder sister’s clothing and tea-shop in Danang for practical experience, which encouraged her to enroll in the DTU Business Administration program. With her excellent English, she was also delighted to begin studying in Vietnam for an American accredited degree”.

 Dinh Thanh Tam scored 23.75 and studies for a Doctor of Medicine

Ðinh Thanh Tam is from Khanh Hoa province and scored 23.75. She chose to study for a Doctor of Medicine at DTU. Initially, Tam was concerned about the differences between a public and a private education. When she discovered that DTU has recently invested heavily in new facilities and enhanced its partnerships with Pittsburgh University and Illinois University in Chicago, she was driven to choose DTU for higher education, because of its reputation and understanding of students’ expectations.
