Bui Thi Thien

With excellent grades in all three years of senior high school, the doors of top public universities were wide open to welcome Thien. However, with her passion for business and her attitude of not caring too much about the difference between public and private universities, Thien quickly signed up to study Business Administration in DTU’s On-Site Study-Abroad program. Thien’s choice was not easy because her parents had chosen another major for her. However, Thien’s persistence and maturity when researching DTU’s academic programs convinced them. Thien is happy that her parents supported her choice and now has peace of mind, with a full DTU scholarship of 800 million vnd.

“My parents wanted me to become a police officer, but I think I know what I want,” Thien explained. “I am really impressed with the dynamic and modern DTU study environment and with the university’s advanced international programs and want to profit from this wonderful opportunity. I will do my best and, when I graduate with an American degree, I will have learned enough to choose any career that I want, either in Vietnam or abroad.”

Bui Thien Quan, from Quang Nam province, scored 22.3 out of 30 on the entrance exam. He came to DTU nurturing a dream of becoming a Software Engineer.
