On Vietnam Information Security Day 2015, held in early December, the Ministry of Information and Communications awarded a Certificate of Merit to Duy Tan University and the second Vietnamese team of Duy Tan University for their significant accomplishments at the 2015 ASEAN Cyber Sea Games in Indonesia. This recognized what DTU students have achieved and the quality of education of the university in the field of Information Technology.
“Cyber Sea Game 2015” allowed all ASEAN IT students to demonstrate their technical and creative skills. With their outstanding achievements in the recent Student with Information Security Competitions, DTU was chosen as one of two Vietnamese teams to participate in the finals of the “2015 Cyber Sea Game” held in Indonesia. Earning 1,000 points, DTU overtook other strong teams from Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Brunei and so on to finish 6th, strengthening its position and profile in international IT competitions.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Tuan, a DTU IT lecturer said: “Participating in international competitions has provided DTU IT students the knowledge and experience to prepare themselves for their future careers. As they work to secure vital information in Vietnamese companies and government agencies for our country, they will also be making a significant contribution to the continuing development of IT education at DTU.”
