The 3rd National Informatics Contest for Young Government Employees at DTU

From October 11th to 12th, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnamese Informatics Association, hosted the 3rd National Informatics Contest for Young Civil Servants, at Duy Tan University in Danang. The contest was intended to promote the application of Information Technology in government and improve efficiency. It will enable the Party and State to accelerate policies related to the development of IT, administrative reform and e-government.
 
  
The organizers present gifts to DTU 
 
One hundred and twenty-five contestants from thirty-two cities, provinces and ministries participated. With an investment of twelve hundred computers, including one hundred and fifty laptops, for research and training, DTU has made a significant contribution to the success of the contest. 
 
Contestants took Individual, Group and Creativity tests. In total ninety-nine prizes were awarded. These included seven firsts, fifteen seconds, twenty-nine thirds and forty-eight consolation prizes. The team from the Ministry of Finance also won first delegation prize, Bac Ninh Province came second and the cities of Hanoi and Danang came third.

Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnamese Student Association and Head of the Organizers, said: “Young civil servants play an important role in the development of governmental agencies. New IT applications will improve the quality of your work. I know that you will all continue to work creativity together to come up with more ways of supporting yourself and your colleagues. This contest is held in Danang, which is a beautiful and friendly city. The city authorities have provided us with excellent support and I would especially like to thank DTU for your help in preparing for the contest and a successful outcome.”
