Forty-two fresh students, with scores from 22 to 28.25, enrolled in the first course of the On-Site Study-Abroad program at DTU and received either full or partial scholarships, totaling 8.5 billion VND. The international partnership between DTU and Upper Iowa University has broadened opportunities for students to earn an American accredited degree in Vietnam, at reasonable cost.

 

More high-scoring applicants have recently enrolled at DTU. Fifty, with scores of 22 and up, have enrolled in the Doctorate of Medicine program, and hundreds, with an average score of 20, have applied for Pharmacology. Others, with scores of 18.5 and above have applied for programs such as Digital Design, Economic Law, and Civil Engineering, in conjunction with California State University Fullerton. Those with particularly high scores have chosen to apply for the UIU and DTU On-Site Study-Abroad programs in Business Management, Financial Management, Information Technology and Information Systems.

Among the ninety enrollees so far, forty-two have been awarded full or partial scholarships. Twenty-six of those scoring 24 or above have won full scholarships of 8.5 billion VND each. The annual tuition fee of UIU’s Bachelor degree programs in America is $25,000. In comparison, the tuition fee at DTU is $5,000 and, in addition, students who enroll in the first two courses in 2015 and 2016 will pay only $2,500, a discount of 50% for all four academic years.

Tran Van Tam, who scored 25.25 in the National Finals exam and applied for the UIU Information Technology program, said: “I am confident in selecting DTU because I found out about the advanced partnership programs with reputable American universities in America, particularly the Information Technology program. Students in the UIU and DTU On-Site Study-Abroad program will be taught solely in English by lecturers from UIU every year and receive an American degree from UIU. Then we will be ready, well-qualified and confident to enter the global workforce.”
