On September 5th, the DTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering hosted the 2nd Scientific Conference on Electronics, Telecommunications and Automation, with papers submitted by staff of the Danang Department of Information and Communications and faculty lecturers and students.

Dr. Ha Dac Binh, Dean of the DTU Faculty of Electrical Engineering, said: “In 2014-2015, the faculty have made significant achievements in research, including two publications in ISI-indexed journals, seven papers presented at international conferences, one chapter in an English reference book, published by Springer, thirteen papers released at national seminars and magazines, three university research projects conducted by faculty lecturers, and a first and a third prize for a display at the 2014 Scientific Conference, hosted at DTU. The annual conference aims to broaden and improve partnerships between researchers, lecturers and students. Selected papers will be released in the DTU journal of Science and Technology (ISSN: 1859-4950).”
Researchers, lecturers and students at the conference
The conference focused on topics such as Modeling and Simulating Mechatronic Systems, Measuring and Controlling Networks, Information and Communication System Security, Embedded Control Applications, Robot Modeling and Control, Multimedia Sensor Networks, Services and Communications Software. The conference received several submissions from lecturers and students, and eleven of the best were selected for presentation and inclusion in the proceedings. Among these were: “Device Control using an Android Phone and Bluetooth”, “Control and Monitoring of Electrical Devices over the Internet”, “Device Control through Text Messaging”, “Wireless Network Systems for Controlling and Monitoring Electric Devices”, “Robot Design and Production to Guide Pedestrians across the Street” and “Design and Creation of an Alcoholmeter”.
Dr. Tran Thanh Truc presented his research project, “Trends in the Usage of the Frequency Band in Current Wireless Communication Networks”, which highlighted ways of controlling fragmented and inefficient use of frequencies. The research presentations highlighted concepts to inspire innovative and productive future projects.
