Mr. Thiet enrolled in the Master’s degree program at DTU in November, 2014 and received an exceptional, tuition-free admittance from the DTU provosts.
"Mr. Thiet is a very special student. At the age of eighty-three he is still searching for more knowledge. His inquisitive spirit is an example that all you students should aspire to.” said Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co.
Mr. Thiet said: “I am very happy to receive my admittance decision with free tuition, and, although I can afford to pay, it greatly encourages me. I will study hard to earn my Master degree and exercise every day to keep up with my classmates!”
The other students are delighted to study with Mr. Thiet. His inquisitive spirit will encourage them in their new educational experience.
Mr. Thiet lived in America and came back home in 2013. Previously, he was supporting his seven children, so he did not have time to go to university. In America, when all his children were grown-up and settled, he went back to university and graduated there at the age of seventy.
