On June 20th, DTU held a seminar entitled “The Computation of Frames Under the Sudden Destruction of Structural Molecules”, attended by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan of the Quang Binh Province People’s Committee, Dr. Nguyen Chien Thang, the Chairman, and lecturers and students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
Dr. Xuan presents
Deterioration of construction materials, caused by tears, breaks and bends, are causing steady and increasing damage to buildings, drawing the attention of experts. Facts show that these incidents have many causes, the weather, the durability and stability of construction methods, and the engineering implications of understanding and limiting such problems. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan’s talk “Computation of frames Under the Sudden Destruction of Structural Molecules” was of great interest to his colleagues, due to its practical and broadly applicable content.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Xuan succinctly covered the typical types of construction oscillations and also proposed solutions to limit and remedy the sudden destruction of structural molecules. “Preserving structural safety and counteracting consecutive construction failures is gaining much attention in the building sector” he explained. “I hope my research can help determine the root causes of these incidents so they we can reduce risk and develop technical strategies to improve building safety, based on our current experiences.”
