Welcome to 2015 Tourist Recruitment and Career Counseling Session at DTU

By improving the quality of education of tourism students to feed local requirements, DTU has contributed to the development of tourism in Danang and become a popular university to study at. DTU has held many events to tourism students to local businesses to allow companies to meet and recruit highly-qualified graduates. 
 
On May 20th, DTU cooperated with Danang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to hold the 2015 Tourism Student Recruitment and Career Consulting Workshop.

Many interesting activities were organized, such as a seminar concerning the quality of human resources in tourism as Vietnam is integrating into ASEAN. The workshop provided students with an overview of the local tourist industry and a forum for exchanging ideas and sharing experiences and career counseling, bringing job opportunities for students and recruitment opportunities for businesses at the same event.
 
   
Tourism students practice bartending
 
For the exchange of ideas in the morning, DTU divided the workshop into many small forums, so that visitors and could communicate easier. The room service forum provided specialized information and an interview room for recruitment agencies and hotel managers. The bartending, tour guide, tour operator, reception, and kitchen forums also discussed experiences working in each of those areas, with hotel management recruiting staff for many positions, including chefs

Many hotel managers attended and spoke about careers opportunities at the 2015 Tourist Student Recruitment & Career Consulting Workshop, including Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice-Director of the Danang Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Mr. Truong Nham Thang, senior official of the EU’s project to develop a tourism workforce and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien, Personnel Manager of Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort. About 50 companies attended the workshop to recruit students, such as Ba Na Hills, Vietravel, Fusion Maia, the Montgomerie Links Golf Course, the Intercontinental, Sandy Beach, À La Carte, the Grand Mercure, the Ben Thanh Tourist Company and the Viet Da Tourist Company. It was an excellent opportunity for students to receive counseling in preparation for future careers.
