On December the 11, 2014, the DTU Finance Club, in collaboration with Maybank Kim Eng Securities SMLLC, held the workshop “Finance and Securities Career Counseling and Talented Investor Contest Kick-off” 713 - K7/25 Quang Trung, Danang. Attendees included Mrs Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, Maybank Kim Eng Brokerage Manager; Dr Nguyen Duc Man, acting Dean of the DTU International School; DTU lecturers and students.

The workshop “Finance and Securities Career Counseling and Talented Investor Contest Kick-off” marked the official presentation of the Finance Club to the staff, lecturers, and students of the university. In this club, students passionate about finance and securities have the chance to learn with, and get experience from financial experts as well as exchange knowledge.
At the workshop, Mrs Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan provided DTU students with some useful information about finance and securities in Vietnam, the operating model of securities companies, and how it is to work for them, as well as about the knowledge and skills necessary in the different branches of finance and securities.
Mrs Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan said:
“Sharing knowledge and practical work experience coming from enterprises like us will help students understand better about working in finance and securities to, from there, decide about their path for the future. This not only motivates students to do their best even more in their studies, but it also helps them to nurture and realize their dreams".

At the event, the Managing Board of the Finance Club kicked off the “Talented Investor” contest. This contest will take place from December 11, 2014, to April 22, 2015, and is aimed at free investors and students of higher educational institutes in the Danang. Participants need to register as members of the Finance Club, after which they need to open an account at the DTU virtual stock exchange at the page
http://estock.duytan.edu.vn. They will immediately be assigned 100 million in virtual money for trading. After this, the guidance of Maybank Kim Eng representatives will help DTU students understand better about how to participate in the contest and in the securities market, and how to trade on the virtual stock exchange eStock.
Participating in the Finance Club and in the virtual stock exchange eStock will give DTU students that are passionate about researching securities extra opportunities to practice and gain some useful and interesting experience.
