Over the years, DTU has made sustained efforts to provide the most convenient study and research environment for students nationwide. In 2014, the DTU Management Board has decided to grant forty full scholarships to outstanding students, worth 800 million VND each. This is an innovation that will enhance the reputation of DTU as a reliable and trustworthy university to apply for.
Distinguished Teacher Le Cong Co awards Boeing Scholarships to CMU students
Under the program, scholarships will be awarded to students who gain a minimum of 25 points in the 2014 enrollment test or a high award in national contests. In case they won a Consolation prize, they must pass the university entrance exam. Twenty scholarships will be awarded for CMU IT courses, and twenty for PSU Business Administration and Tourism courses.
Scholarships cover tuition fees and accommodation for the period of study for BA to PhD degrees. DTU will not take reclaim the scholarship money if graduates go to work abroad. However, DTU would expect to employ some of the best graduates to work at the university. Student scores will be valid for one year in cases of military service or long-term hospitalization.

DTU will give priority to students who select DTU as their first choice, including national prize winners and early applications, before April 17th, will be given preference. If there are insufficient students registering as their first choice, DTU will consider other applicants based on their entrance exam scores.
Students with less than 25 points will be able to register for the internationally standardized programs, which DTU offers in collaboration with well-known American universities, such as Carnegie Mellon University, one of the four leading American universities in Information Technology, Penn State University, well-known for its Business Management programs and California Fullerton University, one of the leading public universities on the West Coast.
Another 950 scholarships, totaling of 3 billion dong, will be granted to applicants with acceptable results. In addition, students registering for advanced and international programs will be able to receive scholarships of $1,000 and $2,500 each, awarded by Boeing Aircraft and IBM respectively.
Graduates will receive DTU degrees and a minimum of eighteen internationally-recognized completion certificates from Carnegie Mellon University or Pennsylvania State University. Some of the courses, including those for PhD students, will be taught by Vietnamese and American professors up to thesis completion. Candidates will be required to prepare their theses in English and to publish at least one article in an internationally-recognized research journal. For Master's students, DTU is completing arrangements for 30% to 40% of the majors to be taught by foreign lecturers.
PhD candidates will take part in national and international seminars and foreign internships, in order to broaden their knowledge, skills and practical experience for future careers.
